Bill's artmaking can be compaired to abstract artists like Jackson Pollock and Joan Mitchell. His work often features backgrounds saturated in a single hue topped with layers of contrasting colors created by his innovative and adventurous use of non-traditional painting techniques, such as pouring and dripping the paint, or using found objects as brushes and styluses. Bill also creates multi-media work, often collaging found objects onto his paintings, or giving new life to everyday objects by painting on them. Bill credits art with allowing him to explore his personal identity, helping him find confidence in himself and his abilities as an artist, as well as helping him manage multiple mental health diagnoses.
