michelle
Michelle likes exploring a variety of drawing and painting materials to make her artwork. She draws inspiration from nature, her surrounding environment, and her imagination. Michelle takes complex images, and breaks them down into simplified, abstracted forms. Bright colors, Symmetry, and geometric shapes are prevalent throughout her artistic repertoire.
Her subject matter includes both abstract and figurative styles. She works from things she sees as well as what comes from her imagination. Nature and animals fascinate her as much as the challenge of "seeing things MY way" in abstractions. She says she can "put my mind into my art work" and that she "learns more" when she is working on her own. Yet she is also a self-proclaimed "people person", enjoying work in an active studio environment.
Some things she gets tired of—but she never gets tired of doing her art. " Art work, that's my world." Concentration on her art makes her happy. "My art work is relaxing and I'm always glad to do it. I hope everyone enjoys it. See it on the walls of cafés and restaurants. I want to communicate my happiness to other people with my art work."
